The beautiful capital of Hungary is increasingly chosen by filmmakers as the backdrop for cinema and movie productions, because of its charming Eastern Europe. Thus, the following 10 places in Budapest become more familiar with visitors and are more sought after.
1. Gellért Hotel and Baths

Elizabeth Taylor was here with Richard Burton, when he filmed Bluebeard (1972), and he donated a $ 8.8 million diamond heart-shaped Taj Mahal. This location is the setting for NASA headquarters in Ridley Scott's science fiction film The Martian , as well as appearing on CBS's Ransomtelevision series . The film also featured in the blockbuster as Mars 2, Robin Hood, Blade Runner 2049.
4. Andrássy Boulevard and Oktogon Crossroads
Built in 1887 to connect the city center to the city park, Andrássy Avenue is the perfect backdrop for large budget films. The shady tree-lined road that is recognized as a World Heritage site is a must-visit for visitors to Budapest.

5. St. Stephen's Basilica
Started in 1851, this magnificent neoclassical church was completed in 1905, under the design of various architects. This is the largest church in Hungary with a capacity of more than 8,500 visitors, interior interiors with elaborate ceilings.

6. Gozsdu-udvar
This popular place is located in the 7th district of Budapest, enjoyed by many visitors because of the daytime flea market and the bars and restaurants. This is also a place to attract many film crews.

Gozsdu-udvar is a small courtyard, dating back to the 1900s. It featured prominently in Arnold Schwarzenegger's Red Heat (1988), which depicts scenes of Moscow's middle streets. Tony Scott's Spy Game , starring Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, was also filmed in Gozsdu-udvars.
7. Hungarian National Opera House
Among the beautiful buildings on Andrássy Avenue, this theater is a great place for opera and ballet.

Director Francis Lawrence filmed the opening scenes of the film Red Sparrow here. Meanwhile, with Woody Allen's Love and Death (1975), the theater was erected at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Louis. Petersburg. Street scenes around the theater also appeared in Munichby Steven Spielberg (2005). The Phantom of the Opera (1998) is used here as a costly context.
8. Hungarian Parliament Building and the Danube
